On December 18, 2020, the complete set of voltage sag control equipment based on high-speed switch, independently developed by NR, has successfully passed the full set type test of Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Research Institute (XIHARI) and its performance has been fully certified by the authority. Among them, the fastest switching time of dual power fast switching device is less than 16ms. The fastest working time of bus voltage current limiting protection device is less than 10ms, which can reduce the fault current from 80KA to 1.6 KA in the first half wave. NR voltage sag control series equipment can effectively reduce the production accidents caused by voltage sag and greatly improve the reliability of power supply.
Voltage sag, also known as "Power Swing", will lead to the trip or damage of sensitive equipment in the enterprise, causing significant economic losses and safety risks to the enterprise. The traditional voltage sag control equipment is distributed compensation around the load side or centralized compensation based on power electronic devices. The overall equipment cost is high, which is far beyond the scope of the enterprise. Many enterprises are still suffering from the hidden danger of power consumption caused by long power swing time.
Based on the customers’needs, NR has developed a series of equipment that should respond to the impact of high-speed switching technology accumulated in high-end equipment such as ± 500kV high-voltage DC circuit breaker, 220kV lossless short-circuit current limiter, and ± 10kV DC distribution network circuit breaker, as well as high-speed fault detection technology in the field of protection. The equipment adopts standard metal enclosed armored switch cabinet, with the same size as conventional switch cabinet of the same level, and flexible installation, which is suitable for new construction and reconstruction projects.
